Here are a few project descriptions of past and present work.
Bruce Hornsby - one of my first big jobs, circa 1997 semiplay was hired to redesign musician Bruce Hornsby's web site, as well as to create an e-commerce environment. At the time, Bruce was only using a printable order form for merchandise. Needless to say, once the online shopping cart was launched, sales quadrupled.
Greensboro Amtrak - semiplay was hired to develop a flash-based kiosk display for the Greensboro Amtrak station. The kiosk displayed train schedule information from a network database and displayed it along with rotating advertisements. This became the main schedule display for the Amtrak station. Work was completed in about 4 weeks in cooperation with another developer who handled the database setup.
Allison Moorer - Allison hired semiplay to create her website for 3 albums in a row. A really cool gig. Also did her e-commerce for the same amount of time.
Bud Light Downtown Live - semiplay created the web site and maintained it for the first 4 years of the concert event. Also did the concert photography for 3 years. This event was conceived of and produced by Deep South Entertainment, who I worked with for many years on different projects.
Silver Ink Publishing - hired by another developer to create the site design for Silver Ink publishing. I created the layout in html & css and launched the initial run for them.
Gold Village Entertainment - New York based GVE hired semiplay to overhaul their company site profiling their roster of national recording artists.
Cup A Joe - I've been doing Cup A Joe's shopping cart for aeons. When they mentioned they wanted a new web site as well, I suggested Wordpress, so that they could update themselves.
Kids Exchange - semiplay has been doing the web site for Kids Exchange since it began. The real work is the volunteer engine, which is something we tune each year to make improvements for both the customers and the owners.
Steve Earle - Hired to redo Steve's site in conjunction with new album. Also dropped in a content management system for the site.
Immunoreagents - designed web site, as well as a search engine for all their products, including a dynamic pdf creation engine for their spec sheets (this one is currently in the works).
Tahoe Smokeless - I was hired as a consultant to advise on building a new site using Flash, as well as to create a game for site customers. We made a shoot 'em up game, complete with licensed "Cleasewood" music. You can play it if you log into the site.
Neuse Termite & Pest Control - I've done a number of projects for the great folks at Neuse. The first one was a scheduling application that they needed for keeping track of all appointments, and for the drivers to use. I chose to build it on a local LAMP system, using PHP and jQuery to do most of the grunt work.
